What to Expect

When you arrive at the church for worship or other events, you should expect to be greeted as a welcome guest! We hope to be attentive to your questions and needs, such as the location of the restrooms, etc.

If it is Sunday morning, one of our ushers will offer you a bulletin that typically contains the worship service and announcements.

Our worship service is a blend of contemporary and traditional elements, with song lyrics and readings projected on a large screen. Music is led by a praise and worship team.  Sermon messages are based on that week’s Bible reading and relatable to our daily lives.

Most people at the church dress casually for worship, but a few enjoy dressing up a bit, depending on the season and occasion. Our pastor typically wears a robe and stole while leading worship, especially on communion Sundays.

For our other events (fellowship meals, service days, etc.), dress is even more casual. You can expect to find a group of people who enjoy laughter and don’t take themselves too seriously!

Welcome to Kirkwood. We hope to see you soon!
