Preschool and Children

Kirkwood Presbyterian Center for Early Learning (preschool) offers your child an enjoyable educational program in a warm, caring Christian atmosphere.  Our program is designed to provide a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning.  We believe in having fun learning through art, music, creative play, and STEM activities.  We believe that the educational process is a partnership between the parents and the school.  We are here to serve you and your child.

Applications for the 2024-25 school year are now available. Please stop by or call the preschool office at 904.779.7198 for the application, if you have any questions, or need further information.

Kirkwood offers dance and soccer for an additional fee for students seeking enrichment after preschool.  We also offer extended learning to our VPK students and extended day for our 2’s and 3’s.

About Our Preschool Director, April Bradlee

April Bradlee has been involved in education in different capacities since 2002.  She began her career as a preschool teacher for four years until she decided to return to school to get her teaching certification.  After receiving her K-6 teaching license in 2007, April began teaching elementary school for the Diocese of St. Augustine.  She went back to teaching preschool in 2012 after the birth of her daughter.  She found her passion for early childhood education was so great that she went on to obtain her director’s credentials in order to lead at Kirkwood. She has been the Preschool Director of Kirkwood Presbyterian Center for Early Learning since 2013.  April led Kirkwood in receiving expanded accreditation and adding our voluntary kindergarten program.  Kirkwood’s enrollment has increased by more than 50% due to the efforts of April, our board, and our staff.   She has taken part in the Nemours Healthy Kids program to help promote healthy habits at her school.  April has a BA from the University of North Florida and holds an advanced level Director’s credential.  She is certified through the state of Florida to teach K-6.
